Grant Higa
Vice President of Sales and Operations
Grant Higa brings over 30 years of leadership experience in sales and operations, most notably with Xerox Hawaii, where he retired in 2024 as Director of Sales. In this role, Grant led a team of Sales Representatives, Customer Care Representatives, Trainees and Interns, overseeing $15-plus million in revenue. He was responsible for developing sales and marketing strategies, managing training programs, local sourcing, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Working closely with Glenn Sexton, Grant managed high-volume equipment for Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan, serving many of Hawaii’s Top 150 companies. He coordinated local and national resources to support sales, service, and strengthen customer relationships. His exceptional performance earned him numerous accolades including multiple Xerox President’s Club and Xerox PAR Club awards, and Xerox Hawaii’s Na Po’okela Award for Employee Development.
Prior to his career at Xerox, Grant gained valuable experience in the financial sector, working at Bank of Hawaii, American Savings Bank, and Norwest Financial. Beyond his professional achievements, Grant is deeply committed to mentoring and community engagement. In 2001, he founded and coached the Xerox Softball Team, leading the team’s participation in the Financial Mountain Ball League (FMBL), an organization dedicated to fostering community outreach and employee team building. Grant also served as Commissioner of the FMBL for five years, further demonstrating his dedication to building connections within the community.
Grant joined BizTech Hawaii’s leadership team out of a shared passion for supporting local businesses and creating a company that prioritizes both employees and customers.
“I saw this as a great opportunity to work with Glenn (Sexton) again, a leader I trust and respect, and truly enjoyed working with during my career at Xerox Hawaii,” says Grant. “My parents owned a small business in Hawaii for over 20 years, and I grew up seeing firsthand the challenges and opportunities our local small business owners face. Being a part of a locally owned and operated company where decisions are made here, for the betterment of our customers, is something worth coming out of retirement for.”
